HOT Training is Highway’s Internal Professional Development

Highway Transport holds 3-day professional development seminars entitled HOT Training to strengthen the company for long-term success. Employees from Highway Transport locations nationwide visit headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee. Hot is an acronym for Highway Organizational Training.

“Coming together –as a company—to gain a better understanding of who does what is very important, especially when our company is spread out across the United States at 11 different service centers.” says Dugger. “Plus, everyone enjoys the concluding day when Greg Watkins shares company history with the group.”

At the conclusion of “HOT,” employees were given a hot pepper to commemorate their time at corporate headquarters. “Actually, the pepper is like a foam stress-ball…a stress-pepper, so to speak ha ha!” adds Jean Anne.

Greg Watkins, Vice Chair of Highway Transport

This is the third group to complete HOT Training. Greg Watkins, Highway Transport Vice Chairman, photobombs company scenes on a regular basis. He was at it again in the latest HOT Training session.
