The customer complaints have disappeared, the late pick-up notifications from the terminal have stopped, and now my logistics staff had time to perform value added tasks instead of fighting fires caused by poor carrier performance.   This success is directly a result of the HYTT [Joliet] personnel that accept the tenders, schedule the drivers and control the equipment, which is the crew at our servicing terminal.   Thanks for your support.

Supply Chain Manager, Evonik Performance Polymers

I just wanted to take a moment and give some Kudos to Sean and the rest of the crew over at Highway. [Joliet] They always make their appointments a day ahead of time. They get their requests for load over early (and filled out correctly.) They respond to emails quickly. They’re proactive when inquiring about last contents. Their drivers are generally early or on time (and in the rare instance that they’re not, dispatch calls before the truck is late to let us know.) and they consistently have what they need to be processed thru quickly. I know you probably only hear about the carrier when they are performing poorly, so I wanted to acknowledge on that, in my opinion, is doing a great job!

Today I had a Highway Transport driver at Ecolab driver who delivered my chemical to PBUS. It was the first time he had come to our plant to deliver chemicals. I don’t know if it is possible to request a specific driver each time I get bulk chemical, but if it is, I would like to request this guy again. He was spot on with his service, attitude, and overall ability. Today was the first time in I can’t tell you how long that I had both EnforceK and QPinkII delivered and it did not foam over the top of the tank. It was also one of the quickest unloads I have had in a long time as well. Even if I can’t request him, I hope you can relay the message on how impressed I was with him!

On behalf of the Dow Chemical Company and coating materials business, we would like to acknowledge and thank Bob Connor and his staff at the Highway Transport Croydon terminal for their planning and execution of the contingency plan to prepare for Hurricane Irene. The high level of cooperation to bring in equipment for early pre-loading and coordination with our other core carriers was greatly appreciated. Please also extend our thanks to the other Highway employees that assisted the Croydon terminal. Thank you for your continued commitment to safety and service.
